Anna Piaggi = FASHION ICON

Red lipstick, eclectic styling, the godmother of Anna Dello Russo and friend of Karl Lagerfeld ... I am talking about Anna Piaggi, of course... she is an Italian writer and journalist working for Vogue Italia. Today's post is going to be devoted to her, the woman,who I have always admired for her amazing approach to fashion. Anna Piaggi died a few weeks ago, but despite this she will remain the fashion icon, who can be the example for everyone.

Anna Piaggi was an incredibly talented woman. She was fluent in six languages, and his career began in the 60's of the last century in magazines: "Panorama", "Vanity", "Arianna" and in the 70's his life and work tied with the Italian edition of "Vogue". Anna explained many texts related to fashion and design in various languages​​ and she was responsible for the graphical issues photo shoot for "Vogue".

The most fascinating about her is Anna'a sense of aesthetics, individual approach to fashion and style. Anna Piaggi was faithful to her style and did not follow blindly the trends. That's what was so endearing! She always said that fashion was a kind of fun, which must be approached with sense of humor. Her stylizations, which were the most extravagant and eccentric expressed her personality and character. The media claimed very often that Anna introduced vintage fashion into Italian fashion market. This is not surprising, because  Anna followed the principle that it is better to wear something original, something with history, rather than to buy very expensive clothes. Besides she hated a total look, she loved vintage! :)

Unfortunately, August 7, Anna Piaggi died at her home in Milan. This is a  great loss. But she left behind her a colorful history and she influenced the development of the Italian fashion industry. I hope that in the near future there will be a large exhibition of her collections like in 2006 in the interiors of the museum, "Victoria & Albert".

You must see her stylizations(headgear!!!) in the pictures! Every element, which Anna Piaggi chose to her stylization was well thought out. Her style was sometimes kitsch and grotesque, which does not change the fact that this woman had a huge imagination in the creation of his own style.

Czerwona szminka, eklektyczne stylizacje, matka chrzestna Anny Dello Russo i przyjaciółka Karla Lagerfelda… mowa oczywiście o Annie Piaggi, włoskiej pisarce i dziennikarce pracującej dla Vogue Italia. Dzisiejszy post zamierzam poświęcić właśnie Jej, kobiecie, którą zawsze podziwiałem za niesamowite podejście do mody. Anna Piaggi parę tygodni temu zmarła, jednak pomimo tego zawsze będzie ikoną mody, z której może brać przykład nie jedna osoba.

Anna Piaggi była niesamowicie uzdolnioną kobietą. Mówiła biegle w 6 językach, a swoją karierę rozpoczęła w latach 60tych ubiegłego wieku w magazynach „Panorama” , „Vanity” , „Arianna”, a w latach 70-tych swoje życie i pracę związała z włoską edycją „Vogue”.  Anna tłumaczyła wiele tekstów związanych z modą i wzornictwem na różne języki, a także była odpowiedzialna za kwestie graficzne sesji zdjęciowych dla „Vogue”.

Najbardziej w tej postaci fascynowało i nadal fascynuje mnie jej poczucie estetyki, jej indywidualne podejście do mody i stylu. Anna Piaggi wyróżniała się tym, że pozostawała wierna swojemu stylowi i nie podążała ślepo za trendami. Właśnie to było w niej ujmujące! Zawsze twierdziła, że moda jest pewnego rodzaju zabawą, do której trzeba podchodzić z humorem. Jej stylizacje, które było niesamowicie ekstrawaganckie i ekscentryczne, wyrażały jej osobowość i charakter. Często media przypisują Jej wprowadzenie na włoski rynek mody vintage. Nic w tym dziwnego, skoro Anna wyznawała zasadę, że lepiej ubrać coś oryginalnego, coś naznaczonego pewnego rodzaju historią, aniżeli kupowanie czegoś za grube pieniądze. Poza tym nie znosiła u kobiet total look’ów :)

Niestety, 7 sierpnia Anna Piaggi zmarła w swoim domu w Mediolanie. To niezwykła strata. Jednak najpiękniejsze jest to, że pozostawiła za sobą bardzo kolorową przeszłość i wpłynęła na rozwój włoskiego rynku mody. Mam nadzieję, że w najbliższym czasie pojawi się wystawa jej ogromnej garderoby podobnie jak w 2006 roku we wnętrzach muzealnych „Victoria & Albert” :)

Koniecznie przyjrzyjcie się jej stylizacjom na zdjęciu, zwłaszcza nakryciom głowy! Każdy element, który Anna Piaggi dobierała do swoich zestawów był dokładnie przemyślany. Jej styl był czasami kiczowaty i groteskowy, co nie zmienia faktu, że kobieta ta miała ogromną wyobraźnie w kreacji własnego stylu.
